Connally Human Capital Partners was founded on a simple but radical belief: that hiring should be about people, not just placements.

After years of working in recruitment, DEI, and employee engagement across healthcare, mental health, and tech, our founder, Justin Connally, saw a pattern—organizations were hiring reactively, with little structure, unclear values, and almost no focus on inclusion. The result? Missed talent, high turnover, and team cultures that didn’t reflect the communities they served.

As a DEI leader and Talent Acquisition strategist, Justin helped build more inclusive hiring systems, launch ERGs, and increase sourcing diversity by double digits. But the deeper work—shifting the culture of recruitment from transactional to relational—required a new approach.

So, Connally Human Capital Partners was born: a consulting firm built specifically for nonprofits, startups, and purpose-driven teams who want to hire with clarity, equity, and intention.

  • Founder & Principal Consultant, Connally Human Capital Partners

    Justin Connally is a Talent Acquisition and DEI strategist with over 6 years of experience helping mission-driven organizations hire more intentionally and inclusively. He began his career in nonprofit recruitment at City Year and later led a federally funded AmeriCorps program, where he focused on equitable hiring and retention.

    After transitioning into tech, Justin sourced diverse talent for companies like Google, BlackRock, and Deloitte, before returning to purpose-driven work as Talent Sourcing Manager and DEI Co-Chair at a behavioral health organization supporting youth in recovery.

    SHRM-SCP certified and trained in motivational interviewing, Justin blends strategy with empathy to help nonprofits and startups build people-first hiring systems rooted in equity.
